TERMINAL CONNECTIONS
Two pins plug for golf cart is available, suit for YAMAHA G14 G16 G19 G22 DRIVE golf carts. It is easy to connect your charger to the battery, no worry of polarity reversing. Red light on the charger will turn on when charging. Light turns green when the battery is full.
HOW FAST WILL MY 36V GOLF CART BATTERY CHARGE?
Charging time depends mostly on your battery's capacity (Ah). Charges at a rate of 20 amps. To determine your charging speed take the amp hour rating of your battery and divide by 20. For example, a 36v 200 amp hour battery (Ah) would charge in 10 hours.
CAN I CHARGE MY BATTERY FASTER?
For most applications a charging time of 3 - 12 hours provides the longest lifespan for your battery. Lead acid battery can't be charged fastly like lithium battery. Often 10-12 hours charging time is normal and safe for lead acid batteries. Fast charging will shorten battery lifespan. For example, a 36V 200Ah lead acid battery need a 36V 20A or 18A battery charger, charging time is 10-12 hours. But if you have an application where you need rapid charging Lithium batteries can be safely charged in up to 1 hour (at a rate of 1C). For example, you could use a 8 amp charger with a 8 Ah battery for a 1 hour charge time. Charging at a 1 hour rate does reduce the lifespan over time. In our laboratory testing we found that the longest lifespan Lithium batteries was at a charging speed of 0.3C or less. We recommend that the charger amp rating is 1/3 or less of the battery amp hour rating for longest lifespan. For example, your lithium battery is 60Ah, charging time is 60Ah/20A=3H.
WHAT VOLTAGE SHOULD LITHIUM BATTERIES BE CHARGED AT?
43.2V or 44.1V is recommended for most 36V SLA or AGM batteries. This charger charges at 43.2 volts. We can customize max charging voltage by your battery type. Some lead acid battery has max max 44.1V.
